Earl Scruggs Center Launches Meet Our Musicians & Storytellers Microsite

The Earl Scruggs Center: Music and Stories from the American South, a project headed by Museum Concepts, has just launched an interactive web experience that ties songwriters and storytellers from the Carolina foothills to the culturally rich region.

Meet Our Musician and Storytellers is designed for viewers to explore the wide variety of artists from the region. Biographical information, images, music, audio of a selected readings and transcripts, are available through the multimedia site.  We encourage you to visit the site often, as we will continue to add musicians and writers to the site.   Soon the site will also include the nearly 100 oral histories that have been collected throughout Carolina Piedmont in a partnership with the Center for the Study of the American South at the University of North Carolina.

The Meet Our Musicians & Storytellers site was designed as a “living” site that will evolve into a lively archive of the region’s history and culture and to showcase the artistic accomplishments of the South’s writers and musicians.
